Mission:  1st Provisional Regiment Commemoration

This annual mission commemorates the formation of the 1st Provisional Regiment during WWI. The VCA guarded the water delivery system to NY City and participated in the formation of the 1st Provisional Regiment which guarded the water delivery through the end of the war.  Those who died while serving in the 1st and 2nd Provision Regiments are buried here, and we commemorate their sacrifice.

What:  Annual 1st Provisional Regiment Commemoration

Who:  CG, FM, Firing Party, CMDT – – 5 man Color Guard (3 flags and 2 sidemen), 2 man fife and drum, 3 man rifle firing party

When:  Sunday 05 May 2024 – Report NLT 0900hrs

Where:  Sleepy Hollow Cemetery – lunch served following commemoration, location TBD

Report Time:  0900hrs, ceremony begins 1100hrs

UOD:  All SMs except Color Guard is OCP, UOD for Color Guard is parade dress preferably, or ASU with approval.
