Drills are usually held at Fort Hamilton, Brooklyn on Tuesday or Thursday evenings between 1815-2100 Hrs. Unless otherwise notified, UOD (uniform of the day) is Corps Blazer and tie. A full schedule is available at the member site.

Effectively immediately…the following supersedes past directives regarding Corps uniform

1. High Waisted Black Trousers with 1.5 inch wide Scarlet Artillery Stripe are worn 1 NOV- 31 MAR

2. High Waisted White trousers  1 APR – 30 OCT

3. High Waisted Black Trousers with 1.5 inch wide Scarlet Artillery Stripe are still worn in the evening after 1800hrs regardless of time of the year.

4. Items listed below reference U.S. Army approved uniform components and not civilian versions of clothing.

5. Sunglasses are not worn in any type of formation – Prescription glasses should NOT be of the type that adapt to sunlight

Parade Dress: for ceremonial events

  • Use PDC (parade dress coat, or coatee), black neck stock, full size medals, shako, saber (type M 1852), sash, white cotton gloves
  • Plain front white collarless shirt – Turndown of collars is prohibited
  • High-waisted black trousers with with 1.5 inch wide Scarlet Artillery Stripe during Winter, or White high waisted trousers – See schedule above
  • Red suspenders
  • Full size medals
  • Authorized devices and Combat and Identification badges
  • Use cape (or all-weather coat) for weather
  • Worn with low quarter black leather service shoes or low quarter high gloss service shoes – leather soles and heel.

Mess Dress: for ceremonial dinners, annual mess

  • Use unbuttoned PDC (parade dress coat, or coatee), bow tie, miniature medals, black trousers/scarlet artillery stripe; enlisted: red cummerbund/officers: red vest
  • Miniature medals
  • Authorized devices, Combat and Identification badges
  • High-waisted black trousers with 1.5 inch wide Scarlet Artillery Stripe
  • Red suspenders
  • Collared, pleated formal white shirt
  • Gold (or gold tone) cufflinks
  • No saber, sash nor shako unless required by color guard commander for color guard detail
  • Use shako (or beret) and white cotton gloves for extended travel
  • Use cape (or all-weather coat) for weather
  • Worn with low quarter black leather service shoes 0r low quarter high gloss service shoes – leather soles and heel.

ASU/Class A: for Corps representative at meetings, with Commandant permission: funerals, wedding

  • Regulation long sleeve white shirt (w/ epaulets)
  • Black 4 in hand tie
  • U.S Army service cap (Beret can be used as authorized by the Commandant)
  • ASU Service Coat with appropriate accoutrements
  • ASU Trousers (NCO’s with stripe)
  • Black uniform Belt, Buckle and tip
  • Hash marks and overseas bars if authorized
  • Blue Chevrons
  • Worn with low quarter black leather service shoes 0r low quarter high gloss service shoes – leather soles and heel.\
  • Black bow-tie if used as Mess Dress

Class B:

  • Use dress blues without coat; use of tie required with long sleeve shirt
  • U.S. Army Service cap as cover (Beret can be used as authorized by the Commandant)
  • Worn with low quarter black leather service shoes 0r low quarter high gloss service shoes – leather soles and heel.
  • Use ribbon bar and name plate
  • Use pullover for added warmth on cold days
  • Use all-weather coat for cold weather
  • Black windbreaker
  • Black uniform Belt, Buckle and tip

Utilities/ACU: for training, cleanup detail, alternate ceremonial uniform with severe weather

  • Use sand colored desert boots and undershirt (do not use equivalent former BDU components)
  • Use field cap at all times
  • Use beret ONLY when specifically instructed
  • Use thermals, gortex parka for cold weather and/or fleece jacket Gen III
  • Use black leather or tactical gloves
  • Use Velcro for all insignia and patches with this exception: sew rank onto field cap and Kevlar helmet cover
  • Regulation sand colored belt

Corps Blazer:

  • White long sleeve shirt
  • VCA Corp tie
  • No Jeans/No Khakis
