WHAT:  Tunnel to Towers 5K Run & Walk NYC

WHERE:  Brooklyn Battery Tunnel, muster point 113 Hamilton Avenue, Brooklyn, NY – corner of Woodhull St and Hamilton Avenue

PARKING:  Street Parking only.  Recommended parking area from Woodhull St – North – to Union St, or from Columbia St – East – to Hicks St

WHEN:  27 September 2026 (Sunday), Report time TBD, expected end time 1200hrs

WHY:  Supporting Tunnel to Towers Foundation

HOW:  SMs will be escorting Gold Star Families and VIPs to starting point of race

NCOIC/OIC:  CSM Clohessy/TBD

POC:  LTC Diaz, CPT Pedraga

UOD:  ASUs, however, OCPs will be acceptable.  In order to remain uniform, the CSM will assign the UOD for the day based on the SMs that wish to participate.  AR670-1 grooming.

NOTE:  The Tunnel to Towers 5K Run & Walk in New York City is held each year on the last Sunday of September.  What began with 1,500 people in 2003 is now considered by many to be one of the top 5K runs in America.  The event symbolizes Stephen Siller’s final footsteps from the foot of the Battery Tunnel to the Twin Towers and pays homage to the 343 FDNY firefighters, law enforcement officers, and thousands of civilians who lost their lives on September 11, 2001.
