Reminder: this is a Dining Out – Spouses, Significant Others, and Guests are welcome.
Additional reminder (per Article II, Section 2) the Mess Dinner is one of the four mandatory annual events as laid out in the Redbook. Please make every effort to attend!

The reply deadline is THIS SATURDAY, 06 January, 2024. Please note cost increase for any RSVP after deadline: additional $25 per person or $35 per couple.
TO ATTEND: you must confirm your attendance via email to the Commissary, CPT Epstein, at and include your name(s), rank, and any special meal preference(s).
Register as soon as possible so we can determine a head count, but no later than 06 January 2024.
COST:
- $60 per person for Enlisted, $45 for Spouses, Significant Others, or Guests of Enlisted.
- $100 per person for Commissioned, Warrant Officers, $75 for Spouses, Significant Others, or Guests of Commissioned, Warrant Officers.
- RSVP After Deadline or Unregistered/at the door: additional $25 per person or $35 per couple and is subject to availability.
- Preferred Payment: use PayPal and send money to “Veteran Corps of Artillery State of New York” (paymaster@vcasny.org)
- You may also send a personal check written out to “Military Society War of 1812”, mailed to: 1LT Panousopoulos, 23-56 Steinway Street, Astoria, NY 11105, ATTN: VCA Mess Dinner.
MENU:
There will be multiple choices of entrees including a vegetarian option. If you have any religious restrictions or gluten intolerance, please notify the Commissary in advance.
UOD:
- VCA: Evening Mess Dress (1812- Frock Coat) with military miniature medals. If you are not yet in possession of the VCA mess dress, the uniform is Army dress blues or mess dress with bow tie. If you do not have either, then you may wear either Black Tie (tuxedo and bow tie), or Corps Blazer and Tie with grey or khaki slacks. The regimental tie ($25) and crest ($20) will be available for purchase at the Mess Dinner from the Quartermaster, 1LT Hefler
- Military: Equivalent for Active Duty, ASU/mess dress with bowtie.
- Military guests from outside the VCA are asked to appear in their individual dress uniform of their branch of service.
- If you are not in possession of a military dress uniform or are a non-military guest: Black tie (tuxedo and bow tie) for men, evening/cocktail dress for women.
