This is a high profile event honoring the arrival of the L’ Hermione, a replica of General Lafayette’s ship on which he sailed to America to join General Washington.

July 3^rd is a holiday this year.

The parade will march from the South Street Seaport to Bowling Green where an 18^th Century French flag will be raised.

A walk through is planned for 1100 and the parade starts 1130

Other groups attending include the sailors from L’Hermione, the Sons of the Revolution, NY and the Lower Manhattan Historical Society.
