This relationship is very important to the VCA as it ensures our place at Fort Hamilton. If we are successful in this partnership, it will provide the VCA a stable home for years to come. If you are able to attend, your attendance in support of the VCASNY (and the Museum) is greatly appreciated.
As per the WARNO of 20 September. You are cordially invited to join us at our annual VCA social to begin our 2016-2017 drill season. This year’s opening social will include a “Night At the Museum Tour” at the Fort Hamilton Harbor Defense Museum (HDM).
Effective 25 July of this year, the VCA has entered into a formal Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with the Fort Hamilton Harbor Defense Museum. This MOA creates a new legal partnership, between our two organizations with the sole purpose of supporting the HDM for operational and fundraising purposes. In consideration of this partnership, the VCA has been able to secure storage and meeting space at Fort Hamilton, thereby strengthening our existing relationship with the post. As with any business relationship, the responsible entities must provide value and must succeed in its mission. The VCA team is committed to ensure that this relationship is successful and that mutual benefit is recognized. A long term relationship with the museum will only help the VCA as we move forward. In the future, we may reach out to some of you to ask for your participation. We hope that you can join us to ensure mutual success.
To kick-off both our new drill season and the partnership, our social this year will be a fundraiser for the museum. All proceeds (less expenses) for the annual social will be contributed to the museum. Given the added exposure and benefits that is provided to the VCA, we are asking all VCA members to please join us for this celebration. If you know you are coming, please send your check and REGISTER No Later Than 10 October so we can notify security and get a count and plan properly. Registration is required and attendance is limited. All planning to attend must register, no exceptions. If you can’t register, please send me an email or call me.

Cost – $50 per person. Proceeds less expenses will be donated to the museum. All attendees will be checked in prior to entrance.
Additional donations to the museum are always welcomed.

Please note that no food or drinks are allowed inside the museum. We will have a tent setup outside the museum with food and beverages. After the social, you are welcomed to join us in the community club for further libation and company.
