On 22 June, A VCASNY howitzer fired off the signal to begin the Tunnel to Towers Foundation Invitational at Liberty National Golf Club. The first annual event is a fundraiser that allows the foundation to build custom smart homes for catastrophically injured service members.  Members of the VCASNY and the U.S. Army Reserve NEMARSG (Fort Wadsworth) had a photo opportunity with some of our wounded service members and the Honorable Rudolph Giuliani.

In Honor of the Fallen – Memorial Day 2015

Artillery Ceremony Military News New York VCA Veterans

IMG_0914The U.S. Army and the VCASNY execute a 21 gun salute on Memorial Day in honor of our fallen.

This story shall the good man teach his son;
And Crispin Crispian shall ne’er go by,
From this day to the ending of the world,
But we in it shall be remembered-
We few, we happy few, we band of brothers;
For he to-day that sheds his blood with me
Shall be my brother; be he ne’er so vile,
This day shall gentle his condition;
And gentlemen in England now-a-bed
Shall think themselves accurs’d they were not here,
And hold their manhoods cheap whiles any speaks
That fought with us upon Saint Crispin’s day.
