When requested by civilian organizations, the VCASNY requires that all appropriate local and government permits and approvals be obtained no later than one week prior to the event date. Please note that use of the VCASNY Firing Battery requires local police and fire department approval. In addition, the Fire Department of New York usually conducts an on site inspection/walk through prior to the event to ensure safety and adherence to federal and New York Fire Department laws and regulations. All civilian organizations are responsible for ensuring that a representative of your organization is available for these inspections.
