Today our members, along with everyone in our Great Nation, morn the passing of George Herbert Walker Bush. A warrior, a scholar, and global Statesman; who led our Nation with Honor and Grace as our 41st Commander In Chief.
Under his tenure in the White House, as the 43rd Vice President of the United States, and then as our 41st CINC, George H.W. Bush oversaw or led our Nation in our victories in Grenada during Operation Urgent Fury, the fall of the Soviet Empire, the destruction of the Berlin Wall followed by the unification of Germany, our victory in Panama during Operation Just Cause, and the Global Victory of Operation Desert Storm.

Members of the VCA took part in many events Honoring our Veterans:
7 November 2018 - Veterans Recognition Day at Fort Hamilton – Veterans from WWII to WOT were recognized including our own MSG Roura. MSG Roura (VCA Chief of Battery)is a former Marine and was recognized for his service in Vietnam. A contingent of VCA personnel were on hand to recognize him and to show our appreciation.
10 November 2018 - Re-Dedication of Coffey Park in Brooklyn – After more than 10 years of missing a flag pole and national colors, the local Fort Hamilton Post AL Post #688 Coffey-Wilson Post obtained and had installed a new flag pole and raised the flag. Along with post members, local officials and local veterans, the VCA Firing Battery provided support for this historic event with two very loud cannon roars.
11 November 2018 - Veterans Day Parade – The VCA was invited to join the Coffey-Wilson Post float as it rolled down Manhattan. If you were lucky enough to catch us on live TV, you would have seen the VCA flag and VCA uniforms in full display on National TV. ...
